Müller and Rothmayer Villa
Discover two exceptional villas in Prague 6, both definitely worth attention. The Müller Villa was commissioned by the prominent construction entrepreneur František Müller between 1928 and 1930. The interior of the Müller Villa represents a luxurious residence reminiscent of the First Republic lifestyle of a family that rightfully belonged to the upper echelons of Prague society.
The Rothmayer Villa was built around the same time. Architect Otto Rothmayer, who had it built, lived there with his wife and son. Today, this villa is an important monument of Czech interwar architecture, and thanks to the preservation of the house, interiors, and garden, it also serves as a unique testimony to the working environment, intellectual background, and lifestyle of the Rothmayer family.
